| Question:
hi
i am in the process of building a modified fortwo smart car, i was going to upgrade the engine i.e. forged pistons , conrod lightened flywheel etc among the list, but the hurdle i have encountered is nobody does or will do the modified pistons unless i pay for tooling,, the question i am asking is i am looking at putting an oversize engine into this car , whatever will fit(got to sort that out yet) ,so is it worth buying a complete donor car or just the engine and box and then using the smart ecu, with a remap, and electrics with the donor engine or would it be best to strip the donor car and transfer the electrical loom and ecu across , modifying to fit in with the smart cars dials , lights etc |

| Answer:
Blimey .. I know Brabus have got at one or two of these, but I'm not sure if we could get anywhere with the existing management system. We could have custom pistons made without any bother, but I think that might be the least of your problems! |
