| Question:
thanks for ur help Alan.
i would book my car in but i live on the isle of wight and it would cost 2 much on the ferry and in petrol as im running on 3 cylinders.
would u advise that i get an compression test if the new spark plugs and leads dont change the misfire?
also there is a whining noise when i take my foot off the accelerator... would this b to do with running on 3 cylinders? please help, im more clued up now ive done some homework. u did the work on this car wen 1 cylinder was running slower then the others, i have the reciept for an engine rebuild and knew pistons so mechanicly it should be fine, wouldnt you think?
thanks

| Answer:
One would hope everything's basically ok. A compression test wouldn't hurt at all. There has to be a logic to it, based on the fact that you need a compressed mixture, and a spark to ignite it. |
